Professional Engineer

Major Responsibilities: Lead & supervise projects and staff in planning, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Perform storm water-related planning, engineering, and design work. Responsible for working with existing municipal clients as well as reestablishing and supporting new contact with previous clients. Responsible for identifying, contacting and developing new clients with Wet Weather needs. Manage and successfully deliver municipal water, wastewater and environmental infrastructure projects that comply with the client and Shumaker's quality, technical, schedule, and budget expectations. Responsible for the implementation of projects involving the planning, design, and construction of municipal wet-weather programs to include: infrastructure facilities, wastewater collection, combined sewer, transmission, treatment. Project responsibilities include: proposal writing, planning, staffing, scheduling, budget preparation, quality and coordination of subcontractors.

Minimum Required Experience: 10+ years of experience as a professional engineer in the municipal water/wastewater and related wet weather collection and treatment system planning and design. Wet weather planning, design and construction background. Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses. Demonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of collections systems, pump stations, storm water practices, CSO, CMOM and drainage control.

Experience mentoring and supervising other engineering professionals Extensive experience presenting to clients and national conferences.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.

Professional Engineer licensure required.
