BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY PHARMACY SCHOOL
Shumaker Consulting Engineering and Land Surveying, D.P.C. (SCE) provided environmental, land surveying, utility and site development design services to support the design and construction of a new School of Pharmacy for Binghamton University. Located in the Village of Johnson City (five miles from the main campus), this project involved the demolition of three existing buildings and the design of the new pharmacy school including utilities and site work.

SCE prepared the demolition plans and designed the site utilities including water, sanitary sewer and natural gas. SCE further provided profiles and conflict resolution for the above utilities and electrical service banks, and telecom service banks. All existing and proposed utilities were located and designed in a 3D environment so they could be shown on the utility profiles. SCE was also responsible for repair and replacement of, sidewalk, curb and gutter and roadway pavement within the Village of Johnson City right of way.
SCE was also responsible for Stormwater Management Design and staged Erosion and Sediment Control plans in accordance with NYSDEC standards.
SCE coordinated their work with the Village of Johnson City to ensure the Village’s requirements were met and acted as liaison between the Village and the Owner. SCE also provided advertising, bidding, and construction administration services.
