AMMON A. BUSH, L.S. – VICE PRESIDENT, SENIOR MANAGING SURVEYOR
Mr. Bush has thirty-four years of experience as a land surveyor and Senior Manager of Shumaker’s Geomatics Department. The land surveying projects that Mr. Bush has completed includes transportation improvements; facility upgrades and infrastructure rehabilitation initiatives involving boundary retracement/determination & acquisitions; municipal infrastructure improvements; construction surveys; studies and planning projects. These projects have involved all aspects of the land surveying profession.
These services have been completed in accordance with a multitude of standards and in compliance with a myriad of procedural specifications involving local, state and federal publications.
For the past 20 years Mr. Bush has led the firms professional and technical staff performing geomatics services. Under Mr. Bush’s direction, guidance, and leadership SCE has completed a substantial number of projects involving both sensitive and unique situations. We are acutely aware of the impact to the stakeholders as well as the need for discretion while performing work of this nature. He ensures that our work is completed with the highest degree of integrity, thoroughness and completeness.
Mr. Bush’s implemented recruitment and mentorship program within the Geomatics Department challenges and enables staff to build skill and expertise, in addition to achieving career development milestones throughout their tenure with the firm. This includes staff from entry-level through professional licensure in land surveying, and it is this employee-focused approach that has resulted in the creation of the long term, core staff within this service area.
As the Vice President of the firm for more than fifteen years, Mr. Bush’s role has included corporate responsibilities that include, in collaboration with the firm’s president, establishing company-wide policies and practices involving human resources, fiscal management, staff career development, and strategic planning to achieve sustainability and successful, long term financial performance as a business entity.
