MATTHEW S. THOMPSON, L.S. – SENIOR MAPPING TECHNICIAN

 

As Senior Engineering Technician, Mr. Thompson conducts boundary survey and mapping tasks including deed plotting, research of real property and roadway deeds and records, conducts review and analysis of boundary evidence and record information to determine property line and boundary locations. Mr. Thompson also routinely utilizes CADD applications to prepare mapping that depicts existing roadway, street, and property line limits and right-of-ways (ROW), as well as ROW acquisition mapping for permanent easements, fees, and temporary easements.

Mr. Thompson has extensive experience with New York State agency design projects and has provided survey services for many federal and state agencies over the years including, SUCF, DASNY, NYSOGS, NY Power Authority, NYSDOT, NYSDEC, FAA and USACOE.

Mr. Thomson also has extensive experience with utility mapping involving the identification and inventory of existing utilities; research of record plan documents, digital mapping of surveyed evidence; and final verification of underground utility and infrastructure locations.
Mr. Thompson also assists in providing direction and guidance to junior staff in performing CADD drafting and mapping of boundary and ROW surveys.
